Carbon Connection Points™(CCPs) is an incentive reward scheme that is based on improvements in sustainability performance and reductions in greenhouse gas emissions, as demonstrated by an enviroIndex™ Sustainability Rating.

Not unlike reward points given to consumers against purchases, for example for air travel or credit card use, collecting CCPs is a loyalty rewards scheme. It encourages continued participation in sustainability by all sizes of businesses or organizations providing them, as well as individual clients and customers through spending them.

The idea is that businesses or organizations that wish to promote their sustainability "credentials" to their clents or customers can provide CCPs as rewards for selecting them.

The intent is that CCPs collected by clients or customers can be then used by them to offset the cost of environmentally friendly services or products. These can include recyclable waste collection, or purchase of eco-friendly products such as low-energy light fittings and appliances. Businesses within the community that accept CCPs as a discount on environmentally friendly goods and services will, therefore, also increase both their profile and custom.

CCPs can help retain existing and attract new custom through providing tangible rewards. The spending of them provides direct support for both the local economy and the environment.
